| ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS AND SESSIONS |
| The 7th World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE 2026) will take place on 29 June – 03 July 2026 in Carcavelos Campus located 20 minutes from Lisbon in the municipality of Cascais, Portugal. The Congress will be held in person, while including some hybrid events as part of the programme. The conference is hosted by the Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) and co-organised by the World Council of Environmental and Resource Economists Associations (WCEREA) and Nova SBE. |

| Call for papers |
| We invite submissions of empirical and theoretical papers in all areas of environmental and resource economics to be presented onsite.The deadline for paper submissions is 16 January 2026 (by 23:59 of any time zone). Notification of the outcome of the review process is scheduled for 12 March 2026. The number of submissions per person is unlimited, but the maximum number of presentations per person will be limited to one (including both parallel sessions and thematic sessions). All parallel sessions will be held onsite. All papers must be presented by an author who will be present in person at the Conference. It is not possible to present papers remotely.Please check the Call for Papers for submission guidelines. |
| Call for Science-Policy-Business sessions |
| Science-Policy-Business sessions aim to showcase how the use of environmental and resource economics can contribute to support public policy-making by providing a forum of discussion between policy-makers, the business sector and academia. Sessions are expected to be of interest to a broad audience of research economists. They will typically be formatted as three to four short presentations followed by panel/roundtable discussions. Papers are not required. The Programme Committee will select a limited number of proposed Science-Policy-Business Sessions based on relevance and originality. The Science-Policy-Business Sessions will be held during parallel sessions in hybrid format and will have a duration of one hour and half each. | Call for Thematic sessions |
| Thematic sessions aim to highlight current research on a subject in environmental and resource economics. Thematic sessions will consist of four to five papers connected by a unifying theme. The individual contributions are expected to be of very high quality, both with respect to the scientific content of the paper and the presentation. The Programme Committee will select a limited number of proposed Thematic Sessions based on scientific quality and originality. The proposed papers for these sessions will undergo the normal refereeing process. The thematic sessions will run in parallel in much the same way as regular Parallel Sessions. Thematic sessions will be held in person. The proposal for Thematic Session follow a two-step procedure. Please check the Call for Thematic Sessions for submission guidelines. |
