The Congress of the Association of Latin american and Caribbean Environmental Economists and Resources (LAERE2025) will be held from 19 to 21 march 2025. The conference will be held face-to-face in the vibrant city of Bogota, Colombia, and will include some events hybrids as part of the program.

The conference is organized by the Department of Economics of the University of the Andes , and co-organised by the magazine Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, JEEM.

The keynote speakers of the congress will be:

Erik Sterner is dedicated to promoting the education, communication and research in these fields. In EfD, works as a researcher, developer, education, communicator and teacher and experimenter AI). At the beginning of his career (2011-2015), compared various climatic factors such as gases and particles, using climate models ‘simple’. However, after completing his thesis, his deep passion for education and communication led him to focus on these areas.
