The Program of Research in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources, University of Concepcion, a member of the international network for Environment for Development Initiative (EfD), has the pleasure to invite you to the Eleventh Annual Meeting of NENRE EfD-Chile. This event will bring together researchers, policy-makers, students and various stakeholders to discuss the environmental challenges most urgent of Chile and of the Global North and South.

Deadline for submission of papers: September 05, 2025.

Event dates: 06, and 07 November 2025.

  10. Companies and challenges of sustainability.

  12. Other related area of the Economy on Natural Resources and the Environment.

Nomination of jobs

It invites researchers, students, undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees, professional services, public and private, as well as governmental and non governmental organizations to submit their papers to be presented at the Meeting.

  • Accepted extended abstracts (< 1,000 words excluding references, structure-free) or a full manuscript (< to 6,000 words excluding references, structure-free), in format DOCX or PDF format, written in Spanish or English.
  • The deadline for the submission of work expires September 5, 2025. 
  • Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be mailed the first week of October 2025.

To type of event

The meeting format will be a hybrid (face-to-face and virtual), in the Hotel Termas de Catillo, located in the city of Parral, Maule Region, Chile. The participation is free, but pre-registration is required once the form is not publicly available.

The organization will cover coffee breaks during the sessions. However, the costs of transportation, accommodation and feeding shall be covered by those who participate in person.

Scholarships for students

Will be awarded to a limited number of scholarships for undergraduate students, master’s degree or doctorate that send jobs to the event, which will cover part or all of the costs of participation. The results of this call will be informed as soon as possible after the notification of acceptance.

Structure of the Meeting

The program will include:

  • Parallel sessions of research.
  • Panel discussions on public policy.

More details on the plenary sessions and follow-up activities will be informed in a timely manner.
