The International Conference on Marine Sciences (ICMS) is the most important event in the CEMarin calendar and one of the leading interdisciplinary spaces in the marine sciences in Colombia. The ICMS2023 will be held in person at the Universidad de los Andes campus in Cartagena, from 21st - 24th February 2023.

 The ICMS2023 welcomes participants from all universities in Colombia and worldwide, at all stages of their careers, as well as from other sectors.

As an academic, from early stage to senior researchers, you can apply to participate with either a talk or a poster during the event. This is an unmissable opportunity to share your research both nationally and internationally. The call for abstracts will be open from 5 September – 5 October 2022. Under no circumstances will the call be extended, so we invite you to start preparing your abstracts now! 

The main themes of the ICMS 2023 are:

·         Marine environmental change: monitoring and mitigation

·         Sustainable use and protection of marine resources

·         Understanding interactions between the oceans and society
