Call for papers on ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS

The Research Institute for Development, Growth and Economics (RIDGE), Universidad EAFIT and the Latin American Association of Environmental and Resource Economists are pleased to announce a call for papers for the Fifth Workshop on Environmental Economics to be held in Medellin, Colombia, on 15 December 2023.

We accept contributions relevant for understanding the most important environmental policy challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). These include studies of specific LAC countries, as well as comparative institutional analyses. Papers addressing issues from other regions deemed relevant to LAC are also welcome. 

Both theoretical and empirical contributions are welcome. 

The workshop will take place within the framework of the 2023 RIDGE December Forum along with the following workshops:

International Macro, December 7-8, Montevideo

Financial Stability, December 12-13, Medellin

Growth and Development in Macroeconomics / International Trade, December 12-13, Medellin

Towards Sustainable Growth, December 15, Medellin

Paper Submission

Submission should be full papers, written in English. The cover page should include the title of the paper, institutional affiliation, address, phone number and email of each author, an abstract with the appropriate JEL classification.

Each author can submit and present at most one paper per workshop. Submission of papers to other workshops is possible.

Deadline for paper submission: September 15, 2023

Notification of organizers decision: October 20, 2023
