Workshop on Gender, Households and Inequality: Global Lessons with Relevance for Latin America and the Caribbean
The Address of socio-Economic Research of CAF and Women Economists in LAC (WELAC–LACEA) invite you to submit papers to the Workshop on Gender, Households and Inequality: Global Lessons with Relevance for Latin America and the Caribbean, which will take place on 16 and 17 December 2025 at the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This workshop aims to bring together academics, researchers and experts in public policy in the area of economy to discuss new research on gender inequality, household behaviour and the evolution of the families and labour markets. We invite paper proposals that address issues related to gender or the dynamics of households. Some of the topics of interest include, among others: decision making, family, and marriage, fertility, and demographic changes, gender gaps in the labour market and in the ownership of assets, provision of care, reproductive health, gender norms, violence against women and the effects differentiated by gender of macroeconomic trends and demographic more spacious. Speakers invited include Marianne Bertrand, Sonia Bhalotra, Anne Boring, Patricia Cortes, Raquel Fernández, and Basit Zafar.
Instructions for submission
You must submit full papers written in English. The cover should include the title of the work, institutional affiliation and e-mail address of each author, a summary, and the codes JEL ® corresponding. The works must be sent via this form prior to the August 3, 2025.
Financial support
CAF will be able to provide financial assistance to the authors/is selected/os that need, covering airfare, local transportation and accommodation expenses.
