The Department of Economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute invites you to apply for a position of Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics of the Environment and Energy, in the framework of a project funded by the Swiss National Science (SNSF).

General description: The successful candidate(a) selected(a) will work under the supervision of professor Imelda, joining a research environment dynamic in the Department of International Economics of the Institute. This position offers an excellent opportunity for strengthening the academic career, participate in research, high-impact and collaborate with researchers of international stature.

Details:

  • Type of contract: One year, renewable up to three years (September 2025 – August 2028).
  • Activity rate: 75%.
  • Start date: September 1, 2025.
  • Place: Geneva, Switzerland.

Requirements:

  • Phd in Economics, preferably in energy economics, environmental economics or spatial economics.
  • History of promising publications.
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
  • Solid skills in econometrics.
  • Ideally, knowledge of data analysis tools and coding as ArcGIS/QGIS, Stata, R, Matlab or Python.
